Hello world!

Team Information

Welcome to Labus Consulting Group (LCG)! LCG has been a concept since the founder, Brian, began his consulting work. After years of volunteering in healthcare, studying health law / business, and then working in the public and private health sector, LCG has officially been formed. LCG wants to take these years of experience and have a positive impact on your business.

Brian was born and raised in Charleston, WV. He attended West Virginia University where received his Bachelors of Science in Biology. During his studies, he spent time volunteering in varies areas of local hospitals. He spent years review the operations of radiology, physical therapy, outpatient procedures, and orthopedic departments. However, the one area of the hospital that caught his eye was c-suite and how they had to use their medical and business knowledge to have a successful hospital.

Following his time at West Virginia University, Brian attended Florida State University College of Law and obtained his Juris Doctorate. During law school, Brian spent time working for the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) in Florida. This allowed him to understand the licensing of healthcare facilities and the implementation of medicaid and medicare for the state of Florida. Following his graduation from law school, Brian transitioned directly into management consulting. He transitioned to the sister agency of AHCA and worked for the Florida Department of Health.

While with the Department of Health, Brian consulted for the Chief of Operations. Brian focused on learning day to day operations of a large agency. Brian was responsible for tracking healthcare regulations, performing legislative analysis, and the forming the business plan to update the Department’s business procedures to stay in compliance with the new laws. This led to Brian spending time forming call centers, email centers, communicating with over 1 million health care providers in Florida, creating websites, marketing campaigns, and designing the Department’s strategic plan, plus much more.

When 2020 arrived, Brian was chosen to help lead the State of Florida’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Brian helped create and then manage the initial COVID-19 call and email center, working directly with the Surgeon General to brief the public on the ever changing situation, project managed the longterm care facility COVID-19 testing and reporting, and project manager over the commercial pharmacy retrieval and dispensing of the COVID-19 vaccines.

This experience let Brian move back private and consult on the design and implementation of comprehensive Medicaid plans. He had a hand in implementing plans for the States of Hawaii, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.

Brian has a passion for helping healthcare entities become optimized, grow, and have excellent client service.

Over these years, it has been very noticeable that most businesses can be optimized using lean six sigma strategies to improve the bottom line. For example, each year a legislative session occurs and there are new laws that may affect your business, license, or clients. LCG will track legislation and provide your office with updates of what to expect and how to stay in compliance with a changing sector.

Many offices lack a web presence, a strategic plan to grow their business, key performance indicators to track the efficiency of their office, or the ability to plan and execute their desire to grow their practice. LCG can build a modern website for you to connect with your clients, use years of experience to craft an effective strategic plan to grow your business, design key performance indicators to track office efficiency or revenue gaps, and provide project management services for your desired projects.
